I believe in Storyteller Stumpers. If I can't write, it's because I don't understand something about the story(like when the characters pull a fast-one on me and take a scene a different way than I'd intended). Figuring out the stumper is the key to being able to write. <br /><br />And I believe in Shiny Object Syndrome. The other main reason that slows me down when I'm knee-deep in a story: needing to quiet my environment and my brain down enough to focus on the story. I meditate for at least 20 minutes(with instrumental music on the earbuds) before I writing.
