#TBRCHALLENGE March 2021 - Book by a Favorite Author *REVIEW*
For March's #TBRCHALLENGE - book by a favorite author, I read Tessa Bailey's Getaway Girl.
I enjoyed Tessa Bailey's Hot and Hammered series and this book did not disappoint. It had all the hallmarks of a Tessa Bailey book - sassy & strong heroine, dirty-talking hero and heroine, and a winding, twisting, romantic road to their HEA. So many great lines in this book and the conversation between the hero and heroine was playful and poppin'.
Addison returns to her hometown after her grandmother's death to wrap up her affairs. When she sneaks into her cousin's wedding, she doesn't expect to be the getaway driver for the jilted groom, the future mayor and man who is powerful, rich, and unbearably sexy. He just wants an escape and finds comfort in Addison's world.
I liked that they started out as friends and made the switch into lovers after getting to know each other.
I'll be reading more of Tessa Bailey's books in the future.
